A friend of Katie's owns a company called The Juice Philly and did a personal wedding day drop off of a bunch of green smoothies for Katie & her bridesmaids, helping them recharge from the previous evening's rehearsal dinner.
From Katie: Father Peter Donohue, who is the president of Villanova University, is a longtime family friend and we were lucky enough to have him preside over the mass and attend our reception. He did a surprise family blessing that none of us knew was happening.
The groom's aunt also sang Ava Maria and it was beautiful -
it was her 40th wedding where she performed Ava Maria!
Katie and Mike asked their parents to join the last minute of their first dance as a thank you for showing them examples of what a good marriage should be and for their support.
Katie's dad gave the couple a bottle of champagne that he bought the day Katie was born and had been saving for her wedding day. He gave it to the couple when he gave his speech.
Is that not the best thing ever!?!!
I have loved seeing and sharing all the sweet details from this stunning wedding.
